Food and shelter | London

This is my last post dedicated to my recent trip to London. I'm sharing a few food pics and I'm going to show you my hotel room. Let's start off with the dinner I had at Green's Restaurant and Oyster Bar. I rarely, if ever, eat out at British restaurants but this was a great opportunity to have my beloved fish and chips on mushy peas with tartar sauce. It was so good!
For dessert I had this raspberry cheese cake, a great choice as well.

It was surprising to see that the restaurant was quite empty on a Saturday night. The food and the service were superb. After dinner, I stopped by Quaglino's for a final drink. That place was packed with people. To be honest, even though Green's was super quiet, it was pleasant to eat without being in a rush and having to vacate the table for the next customers.

Some nachos that I had at a Canadian sports bar, Maple Leaf, near Covent Garden. They looked better than they tasted.
I had never tried any Jamie Oliver restaurant and Jamie's Italian in Covent Garden was the first one. It was a bit noisy but the service and the food were great. Late in the evening, we were the last ones around but they didn't kick us out.

This time I stayed again at the Radisson Blu Edwardian Grafton Hotel next to Warren Street station. As last time, I had a teeny-tiny room but it was very comfortable. They had given me room 352, which, coincidentally, is the international dialling code for Luxembourg. On my last day I had breakfast at their restaurant but initially it had not been included in my rate. I asked to pay for it separately but in the end they offered it to me for free, which I found really nice (they didn't know that I was going to write this review).

  10. I have to say those nachos look very sad and disappointing to me LOL. They look overly stingy too. Love hearing a good review about Jamie's restaurant. I've wanted to eat at one of his restaurants for ages now

  11. I really want to try fish and chips, sounds very tasty. I totally understand what you mean, when you say that you've enjoyed a min of silence in the first restaurant. The hotel sounds nice, and the free breakfast is a great gestures of theirs!

Ah I love Jamie's Italian, and that fish and chips looks incredible! The last time I was in London I tried to each as much fish and chips as I could!
