What the hekk? (Budapest Day 3)

I wandered into Il bacio di stile, a luxury shop, by coincidence. They carry lots of high-end brands on several floors. What I loved most was how the clothes and accessories are displayed. I felt like walking through a museum, almost afraid to touch anything.

Last night, a lady who had read my previous Budapest posts, suggested that I go to Kopaszi Gat and eat "hekk", a kind of fish. Finding the place was a bit of a challenge, as I couldn't figure out how to reach it by public transport. In the end I went there and back by cab.

I could only find one place that was serving hekk. I had no idea what the fish would look like but when I received my plate I was pleasantly surprised. Thank you Betty for this recommendation!

In the afternoon I visited the spa at my hotel. I didn't take my camera down with me but I'm showing you a picture from the spa catalogue in my room. I went for a swim, a bit of jacuzzi and steam bath. Tonight I just want to relax and stay in.

  1. The luxury shop sounds so interesting and unique!

  2. Looks like a lot of fun! That spa looks absolutely amazing... I hope you enjoyed yourself:)

  5. Judging from the picture of the spa, it must have been beautiful! I really love visiting spa in a nice hotel. To me, not using it is kind of a waste paying for a 4+ star accommodation resort fee, don't you agree?

    1. Yeah, it's a waste but sometimes I'm not in the mood and most of the times I forget to bring my swimsuit! Luckily I didn't this time :)

  6. oh the luxury shop looks stunning!:) I love the architecture!♥

  7. Stunning photos with marvelous places ! :)

  8. So beautiful store. Looks so elegant and truly high class. Your fish looks delicious too. Good thing you found the restaurant. Nothing vests a swim in that magnificent pool. Enjoy!

  9. Great post! I love Budapest :)

  11. That shop... It's so beautiful, even the colours are gorgeous. Love the fish dish - the fish was quite common in Russia when I was growing up. :)
Enjoy the rest of your trip - so far it looks amazing! x

  12. The hekk looks rather interesting (is it weird to say that about food? ;), and the spa seems amazing!

  13. Hihi, my home is near Kopaszi Gat! :)

  14. Mmm I didn't know about the hekk but it looks really good! Your trip looks like such a pleasure - walks around the city, good food, spa. Hope you enjoyed it!

  15. Nice pics :)
