Finally I am back home from my six-day trip to England. I had a wonderful (and freezing cold) time and I got to see many beloved friends again.
Here are some photos that I took on my third day when I visited Canary Wharf, a mini Manhattan in East London.
It was the first time that I explored this more modern part of London.
The area is mainly covered with huge office buildings.
There are underground shopping malls, which reminded me a bit of Montréal's Underground City.
For lunch I met B, who used to live in Luxembourg but now works in Canary Wharf.
I had Penne Luganica...
... and a roquette side salad.
B had a bread-crumbed fried chicken breast...
... and this tempting piece of tiramisu.
On my way back to my hotel I caught this amazing view of The Shard, located near my hotel near London Bridge. The building will open in February for visiting. I will definitely put it on my to visit list for my next London trip.

PS: yes let's start the planning! Feb & March (except from 8-16) both seem good as I have nothing planned. What about for you? April migh also be an option but I am not 100% sure yet. Any destination idea?
