Italy Day 8: Prada & luxury designer outlets around Florence

There are two luxury designer outlets near Florence that I visited:
  • The Mall
  • Space Outlet

The Mall is about 30 minutes drive away from Florence. The outlet sells Gucci, Dior, Ferragamo, Cavalli, Valentino, Marni, Tod's, Pucci, Lanvin, Fendi, Bottega Veneta, Burberry, Balenciaga, Yves Saint Laurent and Alexander McQueen. The largest and most-worth-going-there-for shop is the Prada and Miu Miu outlet. On two floors they sell clothes, bags and shoes. I bought two pairs of shoes and I believe that I paid approximately 70 percent of the regular retail price.

There are shuttle buses from Florence city centre that take you there. Or you can hire a private cab. I drove there with my rental car and I had no difficulties finding it. You follow the A1 direction Rome and then exit at Incisa-Regello. From there you will see signs that guide you to The Mall. Shortly before getting there you will see another outlet named Fashion Valley. There they sell Dolce & Gabbana and Trussardi. I didn't visit that store, therefore I have no further information on it.

Space Outlet is 30 minutes away from The Mall. It is only sells Prada and Miu Miu and is much larger than the shop at The Mall. The sales assistants are very friendly and will go out of their way to find you the size of shoes you need. I purchased two pairs of shoes and I believe that I paid 60 percent of the regular retail price.

This outlet is not advertised in Florence and I am not sure that shuttle buses go there. Best would be to drive there. When you get there it may look as if the outlet is closed. I almost drove off again; if I hadn't made a turn around the complex, I wouldn't have seen the entrance.

  19. I would definitely shop there! So jealous of your purchases, esp the suede heels.

  20. Nice purchases! The only "designer" outlet here is Coach, sigh, and I don't even like this brand especially their outlet's stuff are made ugly, cheap and just plain yuky! I'd LOVE to go visit a real designer outlet one day though :)

  21. I've heard of these outlets, it would be amazing to visit. They are so unlike the usual outlets I'm use to seeing. Love the shoes you picked out too.
