De Bijenkorf has great tarts, they are so pretty! And you are si right about tge lack of parking in the city, great that you used the service with tram ;)
That dessert looks divine! Another city I haven't been to, but one I've been told I should! It does look beautiful. I see you're public on Instagram...you'll love it. There are so many communities you can get involved and...well, I guess you already know I am addicted! Enjoy the rest of your time in Amsterdam :)
Wow that vending machine is so cool, it looks like the food is kept warm. I didn't know most of the buildings were crooked. I love how each European city has it's own a distinct character, it's so great that they are all a short drive away. Can't wait for day 2 of your trip.
Btw, in answer to your questions I live in the US but grew up in Australia. I usually visit my family there once every year or two.
