wow so beautiful..the mall looks very nice. & I love lanterns with gold detailing like that. It's interesting to see modern skyscrapers in Europe..I love historic cities so I hope they won't build too many lol
I definitely prefer old buildings to new ones. They have so much more character and look absolutely amazing. Also love that they have so much history behind them
I prefer the old buildings but the new ones here are more of a fusion somehow because it goes for a semi classic look instead of going all steel and metal. I just love the first photo. It is so colorful
Hi, there! I just so happen to stumble upon your blog today from another one I frequent. The photos of Warsaw caught my eye immediately. Loved them! Some of my favorite posts is of people's travels... I love how there's both new and old there.
I love the beautiful old architecture! Great photos. Have a fab weekend Hun xoxo http://www.intotheblonde.com/ Vote intotheblonde BEST LIFESTYLE BLOG in the Cosmo Blog Awards 2012 http://www.cosmopolitan.co.uk/blog-awards-2012-vote
The architecture and design are just stunning. The Stalinist style Palace of Culture and Science looks like such a modern building. I never would have thought that it was constructed such a long time ago. Once again, thanks for sharing these photos.
Great photos! I love the details that you photograph, it makes your blog special. Old vs new buildings are hard to compare. Old have their history and architecture, new have modern design and present vibe. I personally like seeing both in big cities. Have a great day!
I love the muted colours of the buildings in the first photo! Beautiful old buildings have a story to tell but I'm also a fan of modern architecture with unusual shapes and designs and I like to see both in cities. In time the iconic new structures will have a history - I think it's important that each era leaves something behind for future generations. Those dolls remind me of the ones I used to collect as a child each time we visited a new country.(I still have then in a box!!) http://missbbobochic.blogspot.co.uk/
Great architecture, the lantern is so pretty and I live the contrast of old and modern;) the beach you saw was in Rethymnon, Crete in Greece!! It was so nice, I just live the greek islands ;)
I definitely prefer the old buildings...we don't have buildings that old in Australia (in comparison), so I love the architecture in Europe. Warsaw looks a lovely city...might have to put it on my list!
So much beautiful details in the architecture. I'm not too convinced by the new though, it looks a bit faceless and lacking in character. The interior of that mall just looks like a big mess to me... but it's probably much more impressive in person.
Times and styles over the hundreds of years have change, with new materials, technology, and advancing to more challenging creativity. That's why I have a deep appreciation for architecture especially when it has stood the test of time, it's history in our now.
