Today I visited many different places in Barelona. One of the most impressive ones were La Pedrera, a building designed by Gaudi (sorry if the accents are missing - I am working from my primitive netbook). Once you get to the rooftop, the sight is just stunning. The first picture show just one of many amazing constructions that await you there. Inside the building you can visit an apartment which is a recreation of the early twentieth century (fourth photo).
Another highlight was La Sagrada Familia, Gaudi's (still under construction) masterpiece church. It took me a while to get back to my senses after stepping inside. The architecture was breathtaking, there was just so much to take in! Simply overwhelming. In a good sense.
Yesterday I had seen the outside of the Palau de la Musica Catalana and I posted some photos. Today I did a tour of the interior. Again, wow, what an amazing concert hall. The tour guide explained the details and meanings behind the designs. The tour lasted about 45 minutes and was well worth it. Unfortunately, it was prohibited to take any photos.
Other than that I was wandering around Barri Gotic and La Ribera. I walked through the Parc de la Ciutadella, past the Castell dels Tres Dragons, up to the Arc de Triomf.

The weather was brilliant today. I just love it when you can walk around in comfortable clothes without having to worry about layers, scarves and jackets. Let's hope the weather will stay like this until I leave.
